Quality Technician

<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>The Quality Technician will support the Quality function by ensuring products and processes meet internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance. The role involves assisting with quality inspections, audits, process improvements, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position is ideal for a manufacturing operative seeking hands-on experience in a quality control environment and development toward a professional Quality based career.</p> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Education</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum High School Diploma. Bachelors in relative field preferred</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Up to 1 year of industrial experience in RF Cable assembly.</li> <li>5 years’ experience in the quality field preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Good analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Attention to detail and accuracy.</li> <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.</li> <li>Willingness to learn and develop technical and professional skills.</li> <li>&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>The Graduate Technician will support the Quality and Engineering teams across a range of activities, including testing, production verification, and continuous improvement.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Assisting with the current testing workload:</strong> <ul> <li>Support the testing program, including RF Signal sweeps and other technical measurements.</li> <li>Learn to interpret test results accurately, building technical competence over time.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Checking and approving production first-offs:</strong> <ul> <li>Review first-offs or key production stages to ensure compliance with Engineering drawings and Test Specifications.</li> <li>Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications including tolerances, notes, and standards with the help of Engineering.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Completing tests and populating FAI Reports:</strong> <ul> <li>Follow Test Specifications to complete testing accurately.</li> <li>Fill out Test Result Sheets and assist in the preparation of Test Reports in Technical English.</li> <li>Ensure reports are ready for final approval and submission.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Assisting in production and internal audits:</strong> <ul> <li>Participate in production and part internal audits under supervision.</li> <li>Understand quality from both a business and customer perspective.</li> <li>Contribute to process improvements and continuous learning within the company.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Supporting the Engineering team in creating work instructions and setting guides: </strong> <ul> <li>Report test findings to Production and provide feedback to improve processes.</li> <li>Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives by helping translate testing results into actionable improvements.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Processing changes to work instructions: </strong> <ul> <li>Assist with updating and controlling work instructions once changes are approved.</li> <li>Understand the importance of document control and adherence to quality processes.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Incoming goods checks:</strong> <ul> <li>Completing Goods Inwards checks as per the individual check sheets</li> <li>Setting up new incoming goods check sheets</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Role Development</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ideal for a current manufacturing operators looking to move forward in their career.</li> <li>Offers opportunities for learning, development, and career progression as the company grows.</li> <li>Requires enthusiasm for Engineering and Quality, with a focus on learning, supporting the business, and contributing to long-term success.</li> </ul>
