About the role

<div>We are looking for an exceptional Quantitative Developer to join our expanding Energy Desk.</div>
<div>In this role, you will work between the Research and Trading desks, and the Engineering team to ensure the successful leveraging of tooling and reporting for the Desk.</div>

<p><strong>Your future role within Q-TX</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with researchers and traders to develop tools, statistical models, and reports for energy supply and demand analysis.</li>
<li>Translate complex market dynamics into actionable insights using robust quantitative methods.</li>
<li>Work closely with global technology teams to leverage Q-TX systems and cloud platforms for scalable and maintainable solutions.</li>
<li>Monitor and support desk tools to ensure reliability, usability, and long-term effectiveness.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Your present skillset</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 4 years of experience developing industrial-strength, mission-critical Python code.</li>
<li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team.</li>
<li>Strong design and software engineering skills for clean, maintainable solutions.</li>
<li>Familiarity with power or energy markets is preferred.</li>
<li>Rigorous, analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders.</li>
