About the Role:
Our Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the end-to-end contractual administration of subcontractors and major suppliers, ensuring strict adherence to client contract requirements, company policies, and procedures.
This role provides critical support to the CDC Development and Operations Teams across all project phases, from initial development to full operational implementation. Close collaboration with multiple stakeholders will be essential to aligning contract administration with project objectives, mitigating risks, and driving efficiency across procurement and supplier management.
- Manage all commercial aspects of construction contracts, including cost control, procurement of subcontractors, and negotiation of commercial terms.
- Identify financial risks and ensure contract obligations are met, including tracking milestones, payments, and reporting.
- Collate, QA, and analyse contractor pricing, verifying rates and quantity measures for accuracy.
- Liaise with managers and stakeholders on daily matters and milestones through various communication channels.
- Oversee contract financial administration and tracking within project budgets and policies, handling tasks such as processing variations, preparing project reports, and maintaining all necessary contractual documentation and registers.
- Prepare head contract progress claims and support the review and response to contractual correspondence.

About you:
We’re looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor with a background in large, multi-disciplined construction projects. Your expertise in commercial and financial management within the commercial property or industrial sector will be key to your success.
Please note, this is not a senior role and would suit someone with a few years under their belt in a similar role.
You’ll need to be confident communicating with a range of stakeholders and comfortable navigating complex contracts. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage challenges while maintaining positive relationships will be key. Key things we’re looking for:
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Demonstrated experience as a Contracts Administrator/Quantity Surveyor/Project finance, working on large multi-disciplined construction projects.
- Proven experience in the preparation of contract agreements
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflict.
- A collaborative and diligent attitude to project delivery and deadlines.
Essential:
NZ Citizenship or PR with ability to obtain a NZ Security Clearance.
