About the role
In this role you will
- Craft Detailed Cost Plans: Prepare costed Estimate/Cost Plan for review including benchmarking.
- Innovate with Value Engineering: Develop a variety of Value Engineering/Life Cycle Costing options.
- Spot and Manage Risks: Identify potential risks and assist with preparing and maintaining the Risk Register.
- Lead Pre‐contract Discussions: Contribute at meetings on the Pre‐contract Process.
- Shape Procurement Strategies: Contribute and assist in the preparation of the Procurement Strategy/Report.
- Engage in Client Meetings: Attend Client meetings along with senior colleagues as required and record relevant discussion points and actions.
- Collaborate with Design Teams: Attend Design Team meetings, capture and advise on potential cost implications and implement meeting outcomes.
- Negotiate Leases Effectively: Assist in lease negotiations and validation of the tenant improvement allowance.
- Develop Project Templates: Contribute and assist in the development of project templates.
- Manage Logs and Reports: Assist with change order logs, invoice logs, cost reports, etc.
- Research and Measure for Appraisals: Assist with measurements and research pricing for Development Appraisals.
- Draft Comprehensive Questionnaires: Draft and finalize the Pre‐Qualification Questionnaire for review.
- Evaluate PQQ Responses: Review and tabulate PQQ responses.
- Take on Additional Responsibilities: Perform additional duties as assigned.
About you
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in cost estimating
- Proficient in the use of advanced functions in CostX to produce estimates, bills etc
- Proficient in the use of the required functions in Microsoft Office skills, (e.g., Excel, Word & PowerPoint) to an appropriate level
- Knowledge of relevant construction technologies and trends (Sustainability) to assist on appropriate options and cost implications
- Team player with the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
- Organised and detail oriented
- Field experience a plus
- Data Centre experience would be a bonus.
- Outstanding communication skills ( verbal and writing).
