About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to play a key role in building and scaling secure, high-performance mobile applications for a fintech platform operating in a regulated environment.
You’ll take ownership of mobile features end to end, contribute to architectural decisions, and work closely with product, design, backend, and leadership teams to deliver reliable, user-focused financial products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of mobile applications using React Native
- Own mobile architecture decisions with a focus on performance, scalability, and security
- Collaborate with product, design, backend, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Integrate and maintain secure connections to APIs and third-party services
- Uphold high standards through code reviews, testing, and documentation
- Implement secure coding practices suitable for fintech applications
- Identify and resolve performance and stability issues
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
- Contribute to technical planning, estimations, and roadmap discussions
About You
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong React Native expertise
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
- Deep understanding of React patterns, hooks, and state management
- Strong experience integrating APIs and managing complex async workflows
- Solid knowledge of mobile performance optimisation and debugging
- Experience working with secure or regulated systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Nice to Have:
- Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or financial services
- Native mobile experience
- Experience with automated testing and mobile release pipelines
- Familiarity with compliance-driven development environments
