Under the supervision of certified professionals and peer leaders, the RSS-T participates in structured training, coaching, and supervised practice while accumulating required certification hours and developing core peer support competencies.  We will provide up to 500 supervised hours that may be applied toward Virginia Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) certification requirements, offering structured mentorship, professional development, and hands-on experience to support certification attainment.  <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;" data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="1" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">Performs other duties as assigned to support patient care, recovery outcomes, and operational excellence. </li> </ul> What You'll Bring: <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li> <li>Completion of (or enrollment in) the DBDHS 72-hour Peer Recovery Specialist training </li> <li>A minimum of 1 (one) year of personal recovery from mental health and/or substance use challenges, or 1 (one) year of experience as a family member supporting a loved one </li> <li>Registered with VA Board of Counseling and maintains registration throughout employment </li> <li>Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and proficiency with basic computer applications, including email, internet navigation, and electronic documentation, preferred</li> <li>Agreement to adhere to the Peer Recovery Specialist Code of Ethics </li> <li>Must be able to perform Safe Clinch restraint techniques</li> <li>The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy.
