We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Regional Agent to represent Horace Mann's portfolio of insurance and financial solutions, including products and services&nbsp;<strong>offered through select strategic relationships and carrier partnerships, with a primary focus on auto and home solutions. </strong>This role is ideal for a relationship-builder with proven sales expertise who can confidently engage teachers, deliver educational seminars, and guide them through the enrollment process. <strong>This is a remote position with extensive travel in the state of Kentucky.&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The Regional Agent will serve as both an educator and trusted advisor, simplifying complex product information, supporting enrollment, and cultivating long-term relationships with educators.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <p><strong>Present &amp; Educate</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deliver engaging, compliant seminars to teachers that clearly explain product features and benefits.</li> <li>Tailor content to ensure clarity, relevance, and alignment with industry standards.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Sales &amp; Enrollment</strong></p> <ul> <li>Generate quality leads through seminars and meet educators where they need—whether quoting/binding on-site or directing leads to the internal sales team.</li> <li>Guide participants through the enrollment process, addressing questions and simplifying decisions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Event Coordination</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with school staff to schedule, organize, and manage seminar sessions, ensuring all logistical details are seamless.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Licensing &amp; Expertise</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain required licenses, including securities licenses for retirement products.</li> <li>Stay current with product updates, compliance requirements, and industry trends.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Relationship Building</strong></p> <ul> <li>Foster ongoing relationships with teachers before, during, and after seminars.</li> <li>Provide thoughtful follow-up to encourage engagement and continued trust.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Collaboration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work closely with internal teams to refine seminar content, share feedback, and enhance sales strategies.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><strong>Education &amp; Experience</strong>: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.</li> <li>5+ years of experience in sales, consulting, or customer-facing roles (experience in educational settings preferred).</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Licenses</strong>: <ul> <li>Property &amp; Casualty (required)</li> <li>Life &amp; Health may be required at a later date as business needs change.</li> <li>FINRA Series 6 &amp; 63 may be required at a later date as business needs change.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Skills &amp; Abilities</strong>: <ul> <li>Strong product knowledge with ability to clearly explain complex benefits.</li> <li>Proven sales ability, including guiding customers from interest through enrollment.</li> <li>Excellent seminar presentation and event coordination skills.</li> <li>Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to assess seminar performance, interpret feedback, and refine strategies.</li> <li>Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% to meet with district personnel.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p data-start="97" data-end="111"><strong data-start="97" data-end="111">Pay Range:</strong></p> <ul data-start="113" data-end="314"> <li data-start="113" data-end="152"> <p data-start="115" data-end="152"><strong data-start="115" data-end="131">Base Salary:</strong> $60,000 - $90,000</p> </li> <li data-start="153" data-end="221"> <p data-start="155" data-end="221"><strong data-start="155" data-end="176">Target Incentive:</strong> $25,000 (0–200%); subject to annual review</p> </li> <li data-start="222" data-end="314"> <p data-start="224" data-end="314"><strong data-start="224" data-end="233">Note:</strong> Salary is <strong data-start="244" data-end="314">commensurate with experience, location, and other relevant factors</strong></p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>#LI-JC1</p> <p>#vizi</p> <p>#APP</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Horace Mann was founded in 1945 by two Springfield, Illinois, teachers who saw a need for quality, affordable auto insurance for teachers.
