Regional Manager of Quality and Operations

Powering operations. —<strong> Join Velocity Electronics as our next REGIONAL MANAGER OF QUALITY AND OPERATIONS for Austin, Texas.</strong></p> <p data-start="151" data-end="388">We are seeking a Regional Manager of Quality and Operations to lead the Quality and Operations team, ensure products consistently meet customer requirements, and support the resolution of customer concerns related to product quality.</p> <p data-start="390" data-end="551">If you are driven to elevate quality standards, strengthen operational performance, and lead high-impact teams that support business success — we want to meet you.</p> <p data-start="390" data-end="551">&nbsp;</p> <p data-start="390" data-end="551"></p> <p data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong>What is the experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this role?</strong></p> <ul> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical, Electronics, or Component Engineering.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []">5+ years of experience in inspection and classification of semiconductor and electronic components, with a demonstrated ability to make accurate conformance decisions.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []">4+ years of experience managing a team of engineers, technicians, or inspectors.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Familiarity with basic failure analysis methodologies, including decapsulation, solder testing, and basic electrical or functional testing, as well as RoHS requirements.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Working knowledge and experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry (preferred).</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Basic understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.</li> </ul> <p data-start="390" data-end="551"></p> <p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">&nbsp;</p> <p data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong>What can you expect to do?</strong></p> <ul> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong data-start="119" data-end="151">Customer Quality Conformance: </strong>Ensure ongoing compliance with customer quality requirements across all operations.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong data-start="243" data-end="274">Team Training &amp; Performance: </strong>Lead, train, and develop the Quality and Operations team to drive high performance and accountability.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong data-start="385" data-end="429">Cross-Functional &amp; External Coordination: </strong>Partner with internal departments, customers, and service providers to address quality concerns and ensure effective operational execution.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong data-start="577" data-end="611">Continuous Quality Improvement: </strong>Drive initiatives that improve the company’s ability to consistently meet and exceed customer quality standards.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong data-start="156" data-end="203">Team Leadership &amp; Operational Effectiveness: </strong>Manage the Quality and Operations team to ensure effective, efficient, and compliant execution of daily activities.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong data-start="327" data-end="375">Inspection Oversight &amp; Product Acceptability: </strong>Review inspection results for accuracy and perform supplemental inspections as needed to determine product acceptability.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong data-start="505" data-end="549">Quality Communication &amp; Issue Resolution: </strong>Communicate inspection findings to Purchasing and Sales, and recommend corrective actions to resolve quality issues.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong data-start="674" data-end="706">Quality Training &amp; Awareness: </strong>Deliver training on quality awareness, inspection standards, and product knowledge across the organization.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Perform other duties as assigned to support business and operational needs.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Why Join Us:</strong></p> <p>At Velocity Electronics, our core values—Be Amazing Today, Demonstrate Mutual Respect and Trust, Act Courageously, and Own Your Outcomes—drive our success.
