About the role
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with existing education agents, recruitment partners, and key stakeholders.
- Identify, recruit, onboard, and support new agent partners to expand market reach and increase student recruitment opportunities.
- Conduct regular business reviews with agents to drive application growth, conversion, and enrollment performance.
- Deliver agent training sessions, webinars, presentations, and product updates to ensure strong market knowledge and engagement.
- Maintain regular communication with partners to support business growth and long-term relationship development.
- Develop and execute regional recruitment strategies aligned with institutional goals, enrollment targets, and market opportunities.
- Drive onshore student recruitment initiatives across assigned territories and market segments.
- Promote Oxford International’s portfolio educational offerings, including English language programs, pathway programs, career college, university partnerships, Juniors, and year round groups.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through strategic partnerships, networking, and market engagement.
- Monitor recruitment trends, competitor activity, policy changes, and market developments to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Represent Oxford International at recruitment fairs, conferences, networking events, webinars, and industry functions.
- Support agents and students throughout the admissions and enrollment journey.
- Monitor application pipelines, conversion rates, deposits, and enrollment performance to ensure target achievement.
- Work closely with Admissions, Student Services, Marketing, and Campus teams to deliver an exceptional student experience.
- Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of agent and student inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support recruitment initiatives and business objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, agent interactions, opportunities, and market intelligence within the CRM system.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on recruitment performance, market trends, agent productivity, and enrollment outcomes.
- Provide strategic recommendations and market insights to support planning, forecasting, and business growth.
- Travel regularly within Western Canada to support recruitment, partner engagement, and business development activities.
- Participate in international recruitment events and market visits as required.
Person Specifications
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Clear background or criminal record check
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, International Education, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in international student recruitment, education partnerships, admissions, business development, education sales, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience working with education agents, recruitment partners, or institutional stakeholders.
- Experience promoting and recruiting for English language (ESL), pathway, college, university, or career-focused education programs.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian international education sector, student mobility trends, and onshore recruitment landscape.
- Knowledge of international student pathways, admissions processes, and study options within Canada.
- Experience within the Canadian post-secondary, pathway, language education, or international education sectors. (Desirable)
- Knowledge of Canadian immigration pathways related to international students. (Desirable)
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. (Desirable)
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Proven ability to achieve recruitment targets and business development objectives.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in one or more additional languages is considered a strong asset, particularly Mandarin, Arabic, Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, Portuguese, or other languages relevant to international student recruitment markets. (Desirable)
- Results-oriented with a strong sales, recruitment, and business development mindset.
- Passionate about international education, language learning, and student success.
- Professional, proactive, energetic, and highly self-motivated.
- Strong networking, negotiation, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial approach to identifying and developing new market opportunities.
- Culturally aware with the ability to effectively engage with diverse international audiences.
- Comfortable presenting to both small and large audiences in virtual and in-person settings.
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and internationally as required. A valid driver's license is considered an asset but is not required.
