Regional Media Relations Specialist - SMP - Ithra

Media Communications & Coordination Department is seeking a skilled press officers and media relations professionals to join Aramco’s Regional Media Relations (RMRU) Unit. The role includes developing and issuing press releases, handing media inquiries, developing media briefs, conducting interviews, and handling media engagements and visits.

The Regional Media Relations Unit (RMRU) functions as the Company's primary point of contact for journalists and media outlets across KSA, GCC, and MENA. The unit performs a range of media-related tasks involving regional print, online and broadcast channels.

Operating on the front lines of media relations, the unit is entrusted with safeguarding and building the reputation of one of the world’s leading energy and chemicals companies. 

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in the fields Mass Communications, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Media, Media Relations, Crisis Communications, Media Monitoring, Public Relations, or Journalism.
• 3 year of professional experience in media relations or corporate communications, gained in either an agency or in-house corporate setting — ideally with previous experience of the energy, oil and gas sectors.
• ·         Candidate should have previous experience as spokesperson is preferred, while a proven track record in crisis communications is also an advantage.
• ·         Candidate should have strong networking skills are essential and the role requires a strong understanding and experience of working in the media or public relations field.
• ·         Candidate should be able to develop and maintain networks, perform well under pressure and handle a variety of requests.
• ·         Candidate should be fixable and have good organizational skills. Candidates should also be detail-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
• ·         Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills are therefore key. Candidates should also be trustworthy, displaying responsibility and care when handling confidential or sensitive topics.
• ·         Candidate should have good English and Arabic language capabilities
