Overview

Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC) is opening a brand-new girls’ residential behavioral health facility in Cranberry Township, PA and is seeking experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisors to join our growing team.

Position Summary

Provides direct nursing services and clinical oversight for adolescent females (ages 11-17) in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF). Ensures a safe therapeutic milieu through ongoing assessment, medication administration/monitoring, crisis response, and timely communication with the interdisciplinary treatment team. Completes required documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and coordinates follow-up care to support each youth’s individualized treatment plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of youth and the facility
• Conduct nursing assessments including vitals, symptom monitoring, and evaluations
• Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness and side effects
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including MARs and nursing notes
• Coordinate medical care, appointments, and communication with providers
• Provide shift-to-shift handoff and ensure continuity of care
• Communicate clinical updates and concerns to leadership and treatment teams
• Respond to medical and behavioral crises and implement emergency protocols
• Monitor and address safety risks, including self-harm and environmental concerns
• Support a trauma-informed, therapeutic environment
• Ensure compliance with policies, licensing standards, and documentation requirements

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Associate degree with 3+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year of experience
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with adolescents or in behavioral health
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred:

• Experience in residential treatment or psychiatric settings
• Training in counseling techniques or therapeutic interventions
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavioral management strategies
