This role&nbsp;</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW232994860 BCX0">demonstrates</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW232994860 BCX0">&nbsp;</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW232994860 BCX0">expertise</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW232994860 BCX0">&nbsp;in crisis intervention and the ability to de-escalate potentially aggressive situations in a safe, therapeutic manner. The RN also provides education to individuals and their families&nbsp;</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW232994860 BCX0">regarding</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW232994860 BCX0"> behavioral health diagnoses, medications, and treatment options.</span></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Completes detailed Nursing Assessments with individuals and documents pertinent information including Triage, Medical/Behavioral Health assessments and medication administration utilizing appropriate assessment tools. Accurately record all medication brought in by individual on medication reconciliation/storage form.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Plans individual treatment as part of the Multidisciplinary Clinical team.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Provides education concerning psychiatric diagnosis, treatment options, psychopharmacology and overall health literacy to individuals, families, and all others involved in the individual’s care.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Intervenes with appropriate verbal interventions to diffuse out of control or potentially dangerous behaviors. Demonstrates ability to effectively use therapeutic option theory and technique and can describe and demonstrate their roles and responsibilities.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Seclusion/Restraint standards, guidelines, techniques; initiate documentation and debriefing with individuals for any seclusion/restraint incidents as required.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Accurately transcribes Provider orders and administers medications as prescribed.&nbsp; Attempt to have individual sign medication consent form.&nbsp; Performs chart checks and signs off as a second noted on medications prescribed.&nbsp; Draw labs and provide wound care as ordered by Providers when required.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="color: black;">Provide daily programming/groups.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Complete all required training, attend monthly meetings, and maintain required competencies.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Complete nurse to nurse at discharge or when accepting individual from another facility.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Performs all other duties as assigned.</span></li> </ul> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>What You'll Bring:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;">Graduated from an accredited Nursing program</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;">Unrestricted active license as Registered Professional Nurse through the Virginia State Board of Nursing or hold a multistate licensure privilege</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;">Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;">Working on ASAM 3.7 unit, the RN shall have competencies and experience in conducting an alcohol or other drug focused nursing assessment</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-olk-copy-source="MailCompose">The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy.
