<p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">The <strong>Registered Nurse (RN</strong>) is responsible for assessing individuals across both adult and youth populations and documenting pertinent information, including Triage, Behavioral Health, Physical Health, and Substance Abuse issues. The role requires demonstrated knowledge of Crisis Intervention and the ability to de-escalate potentially aggressive situations. Additionally, this position provides education to individuals and their families regarding Behavioral Health diagnoses, medications, and treatments.</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Nursing Assessment and Documentation:</strong></span>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Complete detailed Nursing Assessments with individuals across both adult and youth populations, documenting pertinent information including Triage, Medical/Behavioral Health assessments, and medication administration using appropriate assessment tools.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Accurately record all medications brought in by individuals on the medication reconciliation/storage form.</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Treatment Planning:</strong></span>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Plan individual treatment as part of the Multidisciplinary Clinical team, addressing the unique needs of both adult and youth individuals.</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Education and Health Literacy:</strong></span>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Provide education concerning Psychiatric diagnoses, treatment options, psychopharmacology, and overall health literacy to individuals, families, and others involved in the individual’s care, with a focus on the distinct needs of both adults and youth.</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Crisis Intervention:</strong></span>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Intervene with appropriate verbal interventions to defuse out-of-control or potentially dangerous behaviors in both adult and youth populations.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Demonstrate the ability to effectively use therapeutic option theory and techniques, and articulate roles and responsibilities related to safety.</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Seclusion/Restraint Procedures:</strong></span>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Seclusion/Restraint standards, guidelines, and techniques; initiate documentation and debriefing with individuals following any seclusion/restraint incidents as required.</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Medication Administration and Documentation:</strong></span>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Accurately transcribe Provider orders and administer medications as prescribed.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Attempt to have individuals sign medication consent forms.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Perform chart checks, sign off as a secondary verifier for prescribed medications, draw labs, and provide wound care as ordered by Providers when required.</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Transitions in Care:</strong></span>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Complete nurse-to-nurse handoffs at discharge or when accepting individuals from another facility, ensuring continuity of care for both adult and youth populations.</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Additional Duties:</strong></span>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Perform all other duties as assigned to support the overall care and well-being of individuals in both adult and youth settings.</span></li>

<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;">Graduated from an accredited Nursing program</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;">Unrestricted active license as Registered Professional Nurse through the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing or hold a multistate licensure privilege</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;">Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;">Working on ASAM 3.7, the RN shall have competencies and experience in conducting an alcohol or other drug focused nursing assessment</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Must pass the following background checks</span>

<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">3 years of psychiatric, behavioral health or relevant experience</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Bachelor’s degree in Nursing</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Previous emergency room or crisis psychiatric care experience</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Experience working with individuals with addiction and addiction management</span></li>
</ul>
