Regulatory Lawyer

<h3>About the Position</h3> <p>We are looking for an energetic and driven Regulatory Lawyer to join our Legal team in Hong Kong.&nbsp;</p> <p>In this role, you’ll provide clear and practical advice to teams across the firm and advise on both non-contentious and contentious regulatory matters.&nbsp; You will be expected to:</p> <ul> <li>Provide legal and regulatory guidance across different asset classes (e.g., equities, listed and OTC derivatives, commodities, fixed income, digital assets)&nbsp; and to coordinate legal advice in jurisdictions across the APAC region</li> <li>Partner with our Compliance team to advise on regulatory licensing, reporting and market access obligations, and to assist in preparing for and responding to regulatory inspections or investigations</li> <li>Be a key contributor on strategic projects and business development initiatives across the APAC region</li> <li>Work closely with legal teams in the UK and US as part of a global legal function</li> </ul> <h3>About You</h3> <ul> <li>Have at least 5+ years of PQE in a relevant practice area (i.e. non-contentious or contentious regulatory), within a leading law firm or in-house with a financial institution</li> <li>Able to stay organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, and able to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and able to identify and distill key issues in complex areas&nbsp;</li> <li>Self-motivated and flexible team player</li> <li>Positive, responsible and professional in attitude and presence</li> <li>Collaborative and able to clearly articulate your approach, analysis and conclusions</li> <li>Comfortable working on novel problems that rarely have clean, definitive answers and that require good decision making and risk management skills</li> <li>Fluent in English<br><br></li> </ul> <p><em>If you're a recruiting agency and want to partner with us, please reach out to agency-partnerships@janestreet.com</em></p>
