We are <em>people </em>people who pride ourselves in providing our residents with a Positive Living Experience.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><strong>About this role:</strong></div> <div> <p>The Resident Manager supports the daily operations of an assigned property, ensuring that residents enjoy a safe, clean, and well-maintained community. This role manages leasing, resident relations, and financial and maintenance oversight in compliance with company policies and California housing laws. The Resident Manager serves as the on-site representative of Sunrise Management, promoting excellence in service, professionalism, and community care.</p> </div> <div> <div><strong>Hourly pay range:</strong></div> <div><strong>$16.90 - $19.50&nbsp;</strong></div> </div> <div> <ul> <li><strong>This position requires the ability to live on-site.&nbsp; </strong></li> <li><strong>A typically work week requires a minimum of 12 hours per week. &nbsp;*<em>Some flexibility in the schedule.</em></strong></li> <li><strong>This is a part-time position not eligible for the company benefits plans.</strong></li> </ul> </div> <div> <div><strong>What you’ll do includes, but not limited to:</strong></div> <div> <p><strong>Leadership &amp; Team Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Model Sunrise Management’s values of integrity, accountability, and service excellence.</li> <li>Collaborate with maintenance and regional teams to ensure smooth property operations.</li> <li>Communicate clearly with leadership about property needs, resident issues, and operational challenges.</li> <li>Support a positive team culture built on respect, cooperation, and resident satisfaction.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Property &amp; Operations Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct regular inspections of units, amenities, and common areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.</li> <li>Coordinate maintenance work orders and ensure completion within 24–48 hours whenever possible.</li> <li>Oversee move-in and move-out inspections in compliance with California security deposit laws.</li> <li>Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and vendor services.</li> <li>Ensure all operations comply with Fair Housing, ADA, and Cal/OSHA standards.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Financial Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collect rents, issue receipts, and make timely bank deposits.</li> <li>Maintain accurate accounting records for rents, deposits, and fees.</li> <li>Monitor delinquent accounts and communicate with supervisors before taking legal action.</li> <li>Assist with budgeting and expense tracking to support the property’s financial goals.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Marketing &amp; Leasing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Promote available units through community outreach, signage, and digital platforms.</li> <li>Conduct property tours and present features and benefits to prospective residents.</li> <li>Complete leasing documentation accurately and in compliance with California Civil Code and Fair Housing laws.</li> <li>Maintain organized leasing and applicant records.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Resident Relations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide courteous, professional responses to all resident inquiries and concerns.</li> <li>Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that enhances resident satisfaction and retention.</li> <li>Coordinate community communication and support positive resident engagement.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compliance &amp; Risk Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Adhere to company policies, Fair Housing, ADA, and all applicable state and federal laws.</li> <li>Support Injury and Illness Prevention Programs (IIPP) and maintain safety awareness across the property.</li> <li>Ensure contractors and vendors meet insurance, licensing, and labor law requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you'll need:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years of property management or related experience required.</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software.</li> <li>Knowledge of California landlord–tenant laws and Fair Housing requirements.</li> <li>Strong communication and organizational skills.</li> <li>Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who you are:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A confident, empathetic and dynamic team player.</li> <li>An exceptional communicator: written and verbal.</li> <li>A problem solver with sound judgement.</li> <li>A results-driven independent contributor who thrives on achievement.</li> </ul> <div><strong>This is a part-time position not eligible for the company benefit plans.</strong></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Sunrise Management is an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.  We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.</div> </div> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p>
