About the role
Overview
The Resident Services Attendant serves as a customer service ambassador for Valencia Lakes, responsible for monitoring clubhouse facilities, supporting resident activities, assisting with community events, and providing administrative support for Fitness Center operations. The Position spends approximately 2-3 hours daily assisting with fitness center administration, resident engagement, class registration support, and wellness program coordination while ensuring all community amenties are maintained in a safe, clean, and welcioming condition. THe remainder of the worklday will be spent across other duties.
Responsibilities
Fitness Center Operations (2-3 Hours Daily)
- Serve as the primary administrative attendant for the Fitness Center during assigned hours.
- Welcome residents and guests utilizing fitness facilities and provide information regarding fitness programs, classes, personal training services, and wellness offerings.
- Assist residents with class registrations, fitness program enrollment, and Wellness Living software navigation.
- Verify resident eligibility and facility access requirements.
- Monitor fitness center usage and enforce facility rules and safety standards.
- Maintain attendance records and participation tracking for fitness programs.
- Assist the Fitness Manager with administrative tasks, reports, scheduling updates, and resident communications.
- Ensure fitness equipment is operational and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Support fitness instructors, trainers, massage therapists, and wellness providers regarding facility needs and schedules.
Resident and Facility Support Services
- Conduct multiple rounds daily of the clubhouse facilities, cardrooms, arts and crafts room, gym, pool areas, locker rooms to monitor usage, cleanliness, and any other items that should be reported to the Property Manager.
- Report and monitor cleaning needs to onsite janitorial staff and
- Conduct daily inspection of outdoor recreation areas to monitor cleanliness
- Develop an understanding of Association policies and requirements to assist with answering resident inquiries related to Association rules and regulations in person, email, or via phone, escalating to Management when necessary
- Assist residents with community information, activity schedules, facility reservations, and amenity usage.
- Keeps track of activity logs, incident reports, records, and forms for the Property Manager’s daily review.
- Cover the Front Desk as needed by greeting guests and answering phones
- Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards by creating work orders in Castle system (i.e., property management software)
- Assist with facility reservations and room setup verification
- Wipe down/disinfect fitness equipment as needed
- Assist with resident notifications and update activities calendar as instructed by Management
- Attend/support site events and activities to assist with event setup, breakdown and other tasks as needed.
- Ensures all safety precautions and procedures are followed while performing duties including use of proper PPEs.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses:
Entry level position High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
One (1) to two (2) years of front desk or club house attendant experience preferred. Strong customer service skills required. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy:
Intermediate command of computer hardware/software is required.
Language requirements:
English is required. Multiple language fluency is desirable.
Travel and availability requirements:
May be required to travel for training sessions off-site on an ad-hoc basis. May be occasionally required to cover for front desk staff when needed. Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on scheduling needs.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time. Handle, grasp and lift objects and packages. Reach with hands and arms. Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word. Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions. Complete all required forms.

Working Conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. May be requested to work overtime and weekends for special program events.
