Big League Movers is built on system-driven service lines. Our residential division is the heart of the business, handling thousands of jobs per year across apartment moves, small homes, and starter crews.

As the Residential Moving Supervisor, you lead the Single-A and Double-A mover teams. These are often newer or developing movers who require coaching, structure, and reinforcement of our Major League Standard.

You are responsible for their growth, professionalism, and daily output. You operate from the office (not the truck) and set the tone each morning through Launch, coaching, and daily feedback. You collaborate with the Specialty and Logistics Supervisors to create consistent, high-performing shifts.



🧱 Where You Fit in the Structure

You are one of three frontline supervisors in the operations department. You work in partnership with:

  • Call Center Team (Remote): dispatch, overflow calls, appointment setting
  • Admin Team: HR, staffing, payroll
  • Warehouse Team: fulfillment and support

Our systems:

  1. Launch – Morning alignment and deployment
  2. Major League Standard – Service & execution benchmark
  3. Game Tape Review – Daily accountability and coaching
  4. Farm League System – Mover development and promotions

You serve as the Training Coordinator for Single-A and Double-A movers, owning their growth from onboarding through advancement.



⚾ Roster Responsibilities

You lead a crew of 20–30 entry-level and mid-level movers. You assign, train, coach, and review their performance. These crews typically run:

  • Single-truck residential moves
  • Apartment moves
  • Basic packing or internal moves

You collaborate with:

  • Specialty Supervisor – for overflow support and pack-out coordination
  • Logistics Supervisor – for delivery-only and truck availability overlaps

Clean handoffs, peer support, and mutual accountability define the team culture.

  • Run Launch each morning for Single-A and Double-A: readiness checks, uniform audits, job assignments
  • Monitor in-progress moves and jump in when issues arise
  • Review job closeouts for missed plays and flag coaching needs
  • Log mover progress, coaching plans, and scorecard updates
  • Write daily status updates to the Operations Manager
  • Respond to escalations from the dispatch or CSR team
  • Back-up Specialty or Logistics Supervisors during absences

  • Run 1–2 weekly initiatives to streamline job prep, wrap-up, or truck flow
  • Deliver 2 strategic spot checks per week: real-time feedback and systems compliance
  • Maintain at least 5–10 team members on active coaching plans
  • Develop and document onboarding and training materials for Single-A and Double-A roles
  • Set and track micro-goals per mover with clear accountability and follow-through

  • Conduct 2 weekly safety spot audits: lifting form, stair technique, load security
  • Reinforce injury prevention habits during Launch and team reviews
  • Escalate and document repeat or serious safety violations
  • Confirm all crews leave with proper equipment and safety gear
  • Address improper or unsafe behavior in real time and log for follow-up
