About the role

The Restaurant Compliance Partner leads the day-to-day execution of KFC Canada’s restaurant food safety and brand standards audit program. The role ensures the program elements are executed with excellence and delivers reporting and insights that help restaurants and field teams improve compliance and performance.

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of the restaurant audit program, including managing escalations, monitoring performance against defined KPIs, coordinating the appeals process, and supporting calibration activities with our third-party audit company
  • Analyze and communicate compliance performance results, both periodically and ad hoc to support business initiatives, translating data into clear insights, actionable recommendations, and operational guidance for restaurant and field teams
  • Support accurate and timely program reconciliation through billing validation and review of other program KPIs
  • Coordinate and support continuous improvement initiatives and program updates, helping ensure successful implementation, stakeholder alignment, and adoption of updated processes
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact with third-party vendor partners, fostering strong collaboration through effective communication and responsiveness
  • Partner collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to support compliance objectives, operational excellence, and consistent program execution
  • Represent the Canadian audit program within the global Yum! community, contributing insights, sharing best practices, and supporting broader Brand initiatives

Required: High school / secondary school diploma or equivalent

Preferred: 

Active advanced-level food safety certificate

Formal HACCP training

Required experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in food industry operations or compliance (quick-service restaurant/QSR experience is an asset)
  • Working knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations best practices
  • Familiarity with practical application of HACCP principles 
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support program delivery
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Preferred experience (nice to have):
  • Experience with Yum! Brands systems/processes and/or another multi-location QSR brand
  • Restaurant supervisory/people leadership experience
  • French language proficiency (written and verbal)

 

Working Conditions: 

General work conditions:

  • Full-time hours
  • Standard office environment (clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled)
  • Work typically performed at a desk/computer workstation
  • Access to necessary technology and equipment (laptop, software, etc.)
  • Safe working conditions, including policies for harassment and violence prevention

Job demands:

  • Requires extended periods of sitting and computer use
  • Occasional lifting of office materials (e.g., files or supplies) or other job-related materials up to 25 pounds / 11 kilograms
  • Regular communication (in-person, virtual meetings, phone, email)

 

Travel:

  • This role may require a small amount of domestic and/or international travel

The expected salary range for this role is $66,000 to $88,000 CAD. Final compensation will be based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
