About the role
QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a restaurant or customer-facing role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Swahili or familiarity with Tanzanian culture is a plus
- A friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Warmly greet and welcome guests as they arrive.
- Manage reservations and walk-ins using a seating system or reservation software.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Maintain a neat and organized reception area.
- Handle guest inquiries about the menu, restaurant, or special events with professionalism.
- Coordinate with the serving staff to optimize table turnover and ensure smooth operations.
- Uphold the restaurant's standards for customer service and hospitality.
- Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
