<p><span data-contrast="auto">PsiQuantum’s mission is to build the first useful quantum computers—machines capable of delivering the breakthroughs the field has long promised. Since our founding in 2016, our singular focus has been to build and deploy million-qubit, fault-tolerant quantum systems.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Quantum computers harness the laws of quantum mechanics to solve problems that even the most advanced supercomputers or AI systems will never reach. Their impact will span energy, pharmaceuticals, finance, agriculture, transportation, materials, and other foundational industries.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Our architecture and approach is based on silicon photonics. By leveraging the advanced semiconductor manufacturing industry—including partners like GlobalFoundries—we use the same high-volume processes that already produce billions of chips for telecom and consumer electronics. Photonics offers natural advantages for scale: photons don’t feel heat, are immune to electromagnetic interference, and integrate with existing cryogenic cooling and standard fiber-optic infrastructure.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">In 2024, PsiQuantum announced government-funded projects to support the build-out of our first utility-scale quantum computers in Brisbane, Australia, and Chicago, Illinois. These initiatives reflect a growing recognition that quantum computing will be strategically and economically defining—and that now is the time to scale.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">PsiQuantum also develops the algorithms and software needed to make these systems commercially valuable. Our application, software, and industry teams work directly with leading Fortune 500 companies—including Lockheed Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Mitsubishi Chemical—to prepare quantum solutions for real-world impact.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>

<p><strong>Job Summary: </strong></p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1">We offer a range of internship opportunities throughout the year with PsiQuantum Australia. We’d love to hear from students, graduates and early-career professionals who are keen to apply their skills and grow their careers with PsiQuantum.</p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="243">The duration of our Australia-based internships start from 5 weeks during the semester break and go up to 6 months for longer-term projects.<strong data-renderer-mark="true"> </strong>Most of our internships are based in Brisbane, though remote positions in Australia may be possible depending on the project topic<strong data-renderer-mark="true">.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1">Responsibilities will vary depending on the project and team. Internship responsibilities broadly can include:</p>

<li data-renderer-start-pos="115">Developing and studying methods in engineering, computer science, and data science.</li>
<li data-renderer-start-pos="115">Performing engineering, science, and technical work.</li>
<li data-renderer-start-pos="115">Testing and trialling solutions for our lab operations.</li>
<li data-renderer-start-pos="115">Creating short case studies and research reports.</li>
<li data-renderer-start-pos="115">Providing feedback to our product and technical teams.</li>
<li data-renderer-start-pos="115">Communicating results and preparing short presentations</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Experience/Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li data-renderer-start-pos="3">We are seeking interns with experience and/or qualifications in fields including: Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, Physics, Mathematics, 3D Modeling and motion graphics.</li>
<li data-renderer-start-pos="3">Some projects will require experience in managing research projects (Honours, Masters or PhD level). </li>
<li data-renderer-start-pos="3">Prior knowledge of Quantum Computing concepts will be highly regarded but is not required for all projects.</li>
<li data-renderer-start-pos="3">A passion for communication and brilliant user experience will ensure your work shines and stands out. </li>

In these interviews we are keen to understand your experience, skills, and how your values align with our teams. We are also keen to hear on what you would like to get out of your internship and what your goals are. Once interviews are complete, we match students to relevant internship projects in our hiring teams.<br> </em></div>
