UCSA Student Executive Elections | Fixed-Term

The UCSA Elections are an exciting time on campus, and we’re looking for a Returning Officer to ensure the process is fair, free, effective and managed in compliance with the UCSA Constitution and rules.

The role itself is very flexible, and can be worked around your schedule for the most part, however there are some key times you need to be available for. This is a fixed-term role from 13 July to 21 August 2026, and would suit someone with great communication skills and attention to detail, as well as an interest in the political process and the University. The ideal candidate will have the following personal attributes:

• Ability to prioritise, multitask and work under pressure;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

• Self-motivated, proactive with excellent time management skills;

• Attention to detail and ability to receive and act on instructions delegated down;

• Friendly and approachable;

• Honest and reliable;

• Ability to conduct themselves in a positive and professional manner at all times;

• Ability to effectively operate basic computer programmes.
