We are seeking a collaborative and innovative Risk Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with experts from around the world on a variety of challenging projects for major clients. You will work on a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and effective collaboration. You may also be required to travel to other DNV and client‘s locations to work with various project teams

The job covers in depth teamwork and:

  • Manage and process key clients in the field of risk management
  • Providing technical support for new client development and proposal setup.
  • Implement solutions for technical and organizational challenges of our clients.
  • Supporting our clients with expertise in process and plant safety.
  • Safety studies and risk management projects during design and operation of plants.
  • Facilitate trainings, workshops, audits, and desktop work.

To qualify, the successful candidate needs to have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent (Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Risk Engineering, or other relevant).

  • Recent graduate or Significant relevant industrial experience within the safety & risk domain (> 5 yrs) including Process Safety Management & Asset Integrity Management 

  • Excellent numerical and strong analytical skills (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, FERA, RAM studies, QRA,FMECA etc. - able to analyse and understand complex solutions and ideas using domain knowledge and a range of techniques/ theory and software/ tools

  • Experienced user of consequence and risk analysis software (e.g. PHAST, SAFETI,KFX and Flacs), and proven ability to tackle a variety of projects.

Additional valuable qualifications:

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Strong verbal communication skills – ability to engage with all levels in an organization and external customers and manage projects effectively.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills in Mandarin and English
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary consultancy environment.
  • Willingness to work out of offices to rapidly expand skills and company service knowledge.
  • Willingness to operate and excel in a “Doer – Seller” model
  • Willingness to coach and develop others
