<p><span data-contrast="auto">Apera AI is seeking a Roboticist (Co-op) for the<strong> 8 months term period (Sep 2026 - April 2027).</strong> You will collaborate with experienced engineers and researchers in industrial robotics and 3D vision. Your focus will be on integrating mechanical engineering and mechatronics into robotics projects. This role combines development, testing, and implementation of robotic systems that interact with the physical world in complex environments.</span></p>

<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Key Responsibilities </span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Robot Program Developmen</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">t - Collaborate with senior engineers to create and optimize robot programs using 3D vision software for tasks such as bin picking and path planning. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Mechanical Design</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto"> - Contribute to the design of fixtures, camera mounts, and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) for integrating 3D vision with robots. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Lab Testing </span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">- Build, assemble, and test mechanical components and robotic systems; ensure performance and reliability standards are met. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><strong><span data-contrast="auto">New Technology Development </span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">- Support R&D in mechatronics, automation, and robotics; integrate new hardware solutions into robotic systems. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Data Analysis </span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">- Collect and analyze experimental data to evaluate performance, troubleshoot issues, and propose improvements. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Documentation </span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">- Maintain detailed records of designs, experiments, and procedures; contribute to user guides and technical documentation.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Collaboration </span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">- Work with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, product management) to ensure smooth integration of vision systems and mechanical components.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Problem Solving </span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">- Identify and troubleshoot challenges in hardware integration; propose creative solutions to overcome technical barriers. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Basic Qualifications </span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong mechanical design skills, including proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks). </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Interest in robotics, computer vision, and mechatronics concepts.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong communication and teamwork abilities.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology and a passion for robotics</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
