About the role

Job description:
Looking for a Rolling Stock System Engineer with strong systems integration and interface management across mechanical, electrical, and electronic subsystems. Proficiency in railway industry standards (EN50126/8/9, TSI) and tools like IBM DOORS for requirements management is essential. Experience with safety-critical systems, validation/testing, and onboard technologies (ETCS, CBTC, TCMS, HVAC, braking, traction) is also crucial.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Transport Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of railway systems and operations: locomotives, EMUs, DMUs, high-speed and freight trains.
  • Experience in system engineering, integration, and interface management involving electrical/electronic systems (HV/MV/LV), traction, braking, signaling (ETCS, CBTC, PTC), interlocking, HVAC, and TCMS.
  • Proven ability to work with mixed traffic operations (high-speed, freight, commuter).
  • Familiarity with configuration management, system performance evaluation, and validation techniques.
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS.
  • Working knowledge of international standards and safety norms (EN, UIC, TSI, EN50126/28/29).
