WHAT THE WORK ACTUALLY INVOLVES
Halftime Help provides professional outdoor property services throughout the South Denver metro area. This is a hands-on, physical, team-based role.
Depending on the day, season, and assignment, the work may include:
- Lawn care and routine property maintenance
- Landscaping, seasonal cleanups, property upkeep & snow removal
- Loading, unloading, and maintaining equipment
- Operating basic tools and machinery (training provided)
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Representing the Halftime Help brand on customer properties
Some roles may involve driving company vehicles once legally eligible and approved.
Rookie positions do not require driving.
This is real work, performed to a high standard, alongside teammates who rely on one another to execute safely, efficiently, and professionally.
We train how the work is done. We do not compromise how the work is approached.
THE ROOKIE ROLE (FOUNDATIONAL ROLE)
The Rookie role is the required starting point for every employee.
As a Rookie, your primary responsibility is to learn how Halftime Help operates and prove you can consistently meet the standard.
Core Rookie Responsibilities
- Arrive on time or early, prepared and ready to work
- Follow all safety, equipment, and SOP standards
- Support teams with loading, unloading, and jobsite setup
- Perform basic field tasks under supervision
- Maintain professional posture, pace, and conduct
- Communicate respectfully with teammates and customers
- Follow instructions carefully and complete tasks accurately, even when details matter
- Demonstrate coachability, effort, and a team-first mindset
Rookies are coached closely and evaluated continuously. Advancement is earned, not automatic.
CLEAR GROWTH PATH (PROMOTE FROM WITHIN)
Halftime Help promotes from within. Advancement is based on behavior, consistency, and demonstrated readiness — not tenure.
Once you consistently meet Rookie expectations, you may grow into:
- Individual contributor roles with increased responsibility
- Supervisory roles leading people and day-to-day execution
- Manager and leadership roles responsible for outcomes and developing others
- Specialized support roles (Customer Experience, Finance, Administration, Operations)
⚠️ Important: No teammate moves into a supervisory, leadership, or specialized support role without first graduating from the Rookie phase.
This ensures:
- Shared experience across the company
- Mutual respect between operational and support teams
- Leaders who understand the work
- Support roles that truly support operations
COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & INCENTIVES (SUMMARY)
Starting Pay: $16 per hour (hourly, non-exempt, overtime eligible)
Compensation Potential: $16–$30 per hour
The compensation range listed reflects compensation potential, based on current pay rates and role structures. Increased pay is earned through demonstrated performance, reliability, skill development, and growth into higher-responsibility and leadership roles.
All teammates are hired into the Rookie role at $16 per hour. Increased pay is earned as teammates progress through defined roles and demonstrate readiness for additional responsibility.
