About the role

<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <hr> <p>This role follows a <strong>1st</strong> shift schedule, working from <strong>7:00 AM to 3:30 PM</strong>, with designated days off on&nbsp;<strong>Saturday &amp; Sunday.</strong></p> <hr> <p>Ensures the Food Safety and quality of all product labeled, portioned, cooked, MAP, packaged, and shipped from Home Chef Tempo by working alongside production to conduct on-the-line checks of product against recipe specifications and quality standards.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Detailed Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <p><strong><em>Verification of CCPs &amp; CQPs</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct inspections at RTH production to ensure Food Safety &amp; Quality requirements are met &amp; recorded in the appropriate form</li> <li>Verification of the accuracy of ingredients being used for production based on culinary recipe</li> <li>Verification cook &amp; chill temperature limits have been met &amp; documented appropriately&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensure post-lethality exposed product is properly stored to prevent cross contamination&nbsp;</li> <li>Conduct finished product inspections to ensure product is released according to Food Safety &amp; Quality requirements</li> <li>Verification of chemical titration prior to each use&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensure accuracy of labeling for finished products&nbsp;</li> <li>Conduct on-line verification checks including but not limited to: Metal Detection, Oxygen Analysis, pH, and seal integrity</li> <li>Escalate deviations immediately and assisting with product disposition as needed</li> </ul> <p><em><strong>Conducting Audits of Production Areas &amp; Pre-requisite programs</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>Conduct continuous GMP inspections &amp; corrections with proper documentation&nbsp;</li> <li>Inspection of equipment &amp; processing area to ensure sanitation &amp; conditions are compliant with Food Safety &amp; Quality standards</li> <li>Conduct frequent environmental monitoring sampling&nbsp;</li> <li>Enforce Food Defense protocol as needed&nbsp;</li> <li>Other internal audits as needed&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Training&nbsp;</li> <ul> <li>Assist in training of new employees on Food Safety &amp; Quality practices&nbsp;</li> </ul> <li>Issue Escalation</li> <ul> <li>Promptly notifies leadership when Food Safety &amp; Quality issues or HACCP/HACQP deviations arise&nbsp;</li> <li>Placing product on FSQA hold and assisting with dispositions as required&nbsp;</li> </ul> <li>Assisting in Production/Sanitation/Safety duties</li> <ul> <li>Assist in non-competitive functions when needed: e.g. sweeping floors, moving product and safety investigations</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong><em>General Responsibilities&nbsp;</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Follow the facility GMP’s and help enforce them throughout the facility</li> <li>Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Attitude and Attendance</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Arrives to work at scheduled time and follows time off request procedure</li> <li>Communicates with co-workers in a professional manner</li> <li>Treats co-workers with respect at all times</li> <li>Uses teamwork with working with production throughout the day&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrates ownership of tasks and job responsibilities on a consistent basis.</li> <li>&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></p> <p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed for this role.
