About the role
- Contract Type: Permanent role
- Location: Aylesbury – with occasional travel required to High Wycombe.
- Salary: £29,795 FTE plus enhanced hours payment of 30% on top of normal hourly rate for hours worked between 11pm-12am. This calculates as an actual payment of £16,427.51 including the enhanced hours based on the hours below.
- Hours: 19.5hrs – Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6pm – 12am, and 3 hrs admin time preferably on a Tuesday morning (19.5 total hours).
- To provide vision and high-quality line management, support, and supervision to the staff team, in addition to working collaboratively as part of the Buckinghamshire Mind Operational Management Team.
- To provide a warm and welcoming environment for those people facing out-of- hours mental health crisis’ as a calming alternative to emergency departments.
- To raise service user awareness of alternative mental health services appropriate.
- Treat service users with respect and provide personalised support focused on individual need.
- To raise service user awareness of alternative mental health services appropriate to personal need and increase the independence and self-management skills of those people accessing the service.
- Proven ability to lead, support, supervise, and motivate staff; manage workload effectively; work collaboratively while taking initiative and maintaining professional boundaries.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emotional crises, high-risk situations, de-escalation, safety planning, and suicide prevention.
- Skilled in supporting people with mental health difficulties to build independence, develop self-management strategies, and make positive change, with a consistently respectful and hopeful attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high-quality services and build positive, constructive relationships with external agencies and partners.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; commitment to confidentiality, equal opportunities, diversity, and alignment with the aims and values of Buckinghamshire Mind.
