Position:           Sales Engineer - East

Reports to:   Regional Sales Manager



The Opportunity:



ERLPhase Power Technologies Ltd. is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our growing global sales team. This role is ideal for a technically strong sales professional who thrives at the intersection of power system protection, customer relationships, and strategic market growth.


Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will take ownership of select markets within the Eastern United States, driving growth through trusted relationships with utilities, consultants, and channel partners. You will represent ERLPhase’s protection relays and digital fault recording solutions—supporting customers who rely on highly reliable, mission-critical power systems.


This is a remote role, with up to 50% travel, and candidates who reside in Michigan are preferred (Eastern territory as shown on our website). Those residing in other stated in the eastern territory will still be considered.

What You’ll Do

 

Working collaboratively with the Regional Sales Manager, you will:

 

  • Identify and develop target markets and key customers within your territory
  • Grow and manage a strong customer base to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies and action plans
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and positioning
  • Build and manage relationships with channel partners and influencers
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor—explaining how ERLPhase relays and recorder’s function and integrate into utility-scale systems
  • Promote ERLPhase solutions through customer visits, demonstrations, training sessions, and technical discussions
  • Collaborate with Technical Services to support customers using demonstrations, and presentations
  • Support proposal development and deliver technical sales presentations
  • Represent ERLPhase at trade shows and industry events
  • Assume project coordination responsibilities on assigned customer engagements
  • Deliver work on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality



The ideal candidate brings both technical credibility and sales leadership, including:

  • 3+ years of experience in power system protection sales
  • Established relationships with utilities and industry stakeholders in the Eastern U.S.
  • Experience with protective relays and digital fault recorders (strongly preferred)
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to explain complex systems clearly
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • Background in consulting or engineering firms within the power industry (an asset)
  • Solid understanding of electric power systems and utility practices
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
  • Strong time management, organization, and self-direction
  • Comfort working independently in a remote, travel-based role



Additional Requirements



  • Legally authorized to work in the United States (sponsorship unavailable)
  • Able to travel to Canada as required (no restrictions)
  • Successful completion of background check and drug test
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this role
