About the role
The candidate for this role will be responsible to drive sales growth of heavy construction and mining equipment by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets within assigned territories across Tanzania, while ensuring effective representation of the brand and long-term customer satisfaction.
Identify and develop new business opportunities for heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and related machinery.
Promote and sell construction and mining equipment to contractors, mining companies, government institutions, and private sector clients.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as assigned by management.
Conduct regular client visits to maintain strong relationships and ensure repeat business opportunities.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, quotations, and technical proposals to clients.
Coordinate with technical and service teams to ensure proper equipment specification and after-sales support.
Conduct market research to identify competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging market opportunities.
Participate in tender processes including preparation of documentation, submissions, and follow-ups.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline updates.
Ensure timely reporting of sales performance, forecasts, and market feedback to management.
Collaborate with logistics and finance teams to ensure smooth order processing and equipment delivery.
Represent the company in exhibitions, trade events, and client meetings to promote products and services.
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in sales of heavy equipment, construction machinery, trucks, or related industrial products
Strong existing network within construction, mining, or infrastructure sectors will be an added advantage
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to understand technical specifications of heavy machinery
Willingness to travel frequently across regions within Tanzania
Strong understanding of tendering processes and corporate sales cycles
High level of self-motivation, resilience, and target-driven mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems is an added advantage
Senior Sales Executive or Sales Manager profiles may also be considered based on experience and performance history
