<p><strong>About the job <br></strong>At BuildOps, we’re building a groundbreaking software platform purpose-built for today’s <br>commercial contractors. From helping customers manage sales, service, and projects through a <br>single operating system, we’re transforming how modern contractors run and grow their <br>businesses. <br>We’re looking for a Sales Manager, Commercial to lead, coach, and develop a team of Account <br>Executives within our commercial segment. This leader will drive execution across pipeline <br>generation, deal inspection, forecast accuracy, and rep development while helping the team <br>operate with consistency, urgency, and accountability. This role sits inside BuildOps’ unified <br>Commercial motion, which now combines the legacy Corporate and Mid Market offerings into a <br>single commercial go-to-market structure. <br>This is a high-impact frontline leadership role for someone who knows how to raise standards, <br>improve execution, and help good reps become great. <strong><br></strong></p>
<p><strong>What you will do <br>●</strong> Lead and coach a team of Commercial Account Executives against pipeline, forecast, <br>and revenue targets <br>● Run a disciplined operating cadence across 1:1s, deal reviews, pipeline inspections, <br>forecast calls, and performance management <br>● Improve pipeline hygiene and opportunity quality by enforcing clear qualification <br>standards and next-step rigor <br>● Coach reps through discovery, business case development, multithreading, negotiation, <br>and close strategy <br>● Drive forecast accuracy through strong inspection, clear judgment, and consistent <br>accountability <br>● Partner closely with SDR leadership, Revenue Operations, Enablement, Solutions <br>Engineering, Marketing, and Customer teams to improve commercial segment <br>performance <br>● Help new and ramping reps build selling skill, territory plans, and self-sourcing habits <br>● Identify performance gaps quickly and act with urgency through coaching, development <br>plans, and clear expectations<br>● Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and retention of top commercial sales talent <br>● Build a high-performance team culture centered on effort, execution quality, ownership, <br>and winning the right way <strong><br></strong></p>
<p><strong>What we look for <br>● </strong>Proven experience leading quota-carrying sales reps in a B2B SaaS environment <br>● Strong track record as a frontline sales manager with ownership over forecast, pipeline <br>health, and team performance <br>● Excellent deal coaching skills, especially in qualification, business case creation, and <br>closing strategy <br>● Ability to inspect a pipeline deeply and separate signal from noise <br>● Strong pattern recognition around rep performance, territory opportunity, and execution <br>gaps <br>● Experience building accountability without creating unnecessary friction <br>● High standards, direct communication style, and a bias for action <br>● Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment where structure is still <br>being improved <br>● Strong cross-functional instincts and ability to align others around commercial outcomes <br>● Familiarity with commercial contractors, field service, construction tech, or vertical SaaS <br>is a plus <strong><br></strong></p>
