SUMMARY

Sands and shapes guitar bodies to set examples and customer specifications

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete knowledge of guitar models, finishes and colors.
• Sands and shapes bodies according to wood, color and finish.
• Responsible for quality control. Determines if product given matches paperwork and is good for color/finish indicated.
• Meets daily quota set by supervisor. 
• Reads orders and determines and understands all specs for build processes

EXPECTED PRACTICES 

• Clean and maintain work area.  Including daily cleaning of equipment and bench area.
• Report any unsafe practices to supervisor.
• Works in a team environment.
• Attendance and punctuality

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of guitar components and nomenclature
• Intermediate woodworking skills
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for this type of manufacturing environment. Environment can be dusty, loud and potentially hazardous at times.  During those times employees are highly recommended to use safety equipment to include but not limited to; respiratory protection, eye protection, hearing protection, and clothing appropriate for this work environment.  Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
