School Director - Special Education

The Division of Public Education (DPE) is in need of a School Director for the school year 2026-2027 for the

Special Education School, Prins Willem Alexander.

We are seeking a dynamic and committed School Director to lead our school community and drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and organizational development.

 

As School Director, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the school. You will translate educational developments into effective school policies, ensure high-quality teaching and learning, and foster a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of school policies and educational programs
• Oversee daily school operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with educational standards
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Supervise, support, and evaluate staff, promoting professional growth and development
• Advise and report to the school board on school performance and strategic direction
• Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and external partners
• Represent the school within the local education community
