<p><span data-contrast="none">Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our </span><span data-contrast="none">R&D</span><span data-contrast="none"> team as a Staff Scientist/Senior Manager, Biology</span><span data-contrast="none">. You will be r</span>esponsible for providing strategic scientific and operational leadership for biology research, product development, technology innovation, and commercialization activities. They will lead R&D programs and scientific staff while serving as a key technical expert supporting product launches, customer engagements, technology transfer, intellectual property development, and cross-functional business initiatives. The Senior Manager, Biology will drive innovation, establish scientific direction, and ensure successful execution of projects aligned with organizational goals and growth objectives.</p>

<ul>
<li>Lead and manage biology research and development programs from concept through commercialization, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market needs.</li>
<li>Develop and execute scientific strategies, technology roadmaps, and innovation initiatives to support new products, services, and platform technologies.</li>
<li>Lead, mentor, and develop scientific staff while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and scientific excellence.</li>
<li>Manage multiple projects and priorities, including resource planning, risk assessment, timelines, budgets, and achievement of key milestones.</li>
<li>Serve as a senior technical resource for customer interactions, scientific collaborations, product applications, and resolution of complex technical and product-related issues.</li>
<li>Design, oversee, and review experimental plans, data analysis, technical reports, and scientific presentations; drive troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li>
<li>Lead technology transfer activities and support process development, scale-up, validation, and implementation of new products and processes.</li>
<li>Support intellectual property development through innovation initiatives, invention disclosures, patent filings, and competitive technology assessments.</li>
<li>Monitor scientific, technical, regulatory, and industry trends to identify strategic opportunities and maintain the company's competitive position.</li>
<li>Represent the company at customer meetings, scientific conferences, industry events, and external collaborations.</li>

<p><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":160,"335559740":259}"> </span><strong><span data-contrast="none">The skills and experience that you will bring:</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li>Ph.D. with 8+ years, M.S. with 12+ years, or B.S. with 15+ years of industry experience in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Biology, or a related scientific discipline preferred.</li>
<li>Demonstrated leadership experience managing scientific teams, complex R&D programs, and cross-functional initiatives within biotechnology, life sciences, or related industries preferred</li>
<li>Strong scientific background in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, nucleic acid technologies, assay development, and biological product development.</li>
<li>Experience with product development, technology transfer, process development, commercialization, manufacturing support, and innovation management.</li>
<li>Experience supporting intellectual property development, patent filings, and scientific documentation preferred.</li>
<li>Proven ability to develop strategy, manage multiple priorities, solve complex technical problems, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Excellent leadership, project management, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, external partners, and executive leadership.</li>
</ul>
<p>The anticipated salary range for this position is $133,876 - $150,000. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role. </p>
