<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Attain Sports owns and manages four baseball teams: the Baltimore Orioles Double-A affiliate <strong>Chesapeake Baysox</strong>, the Baltimore Orioles High-A affiliate <strong>Frederick Keys</strong>, the MLB Draft League <strong>Aberdeen IronBirds</strong>, and the Atlantic League Professional Baseball Club <strong>Spire City Ghost Hounds</strong>. Additionally, Attain Sports is an owner of the United Soccer League (USL) Championship Club <strong>Loudoun United FC</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The Aberdeen IronBirds are members of the MLB Draft League owned by Attain Sports, operating in Aberdeen Maryland. The IronBirds are excited to offer career opportunities for new or experienced sports professionals.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The IronBirds seek candidates for the role of Bat Person. The Bat Person is a crucial role to the daily game of baseball. Each time an at-bat ends, the bat person will be required to collect any equipment discarded by the batter, as well as retrieving foul balls that remain in the field of play, providing new balls to the umpire, and performing other tasks as needed by the teams or umpires on field. Bat persons should be at least 15 years of age and capable of working baseball games starting at 7:00PM and concluding 2 to 5 hours later. Responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:</span></p>

<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Retrieving bats, helmets, or other equipment from the field of play between batters or between innings, and removing all equipment from the on-deck circle of the team which batted the previous half-inning. </span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Retrieving foul balls</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Providing new baseballs to the home plate umpire</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Maintaining the bat rack, helmet rack, and equipment rack organization throughout the game</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assisting the clubhouse manager(s) in packing up the equipment from the dugout before and after the game</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assisting in cleaning the dugouts after the game ends</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bat persons will wear baseball uniforms and helmets during the game, which will be provided. Athletic sneakers will not be provided and should be worn by the bat person to work each shift</span></li>

<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>A successful candidate for the role will:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Be at least 15 years of age; candidates under the age of 18 will be required to complete and provide a signed work permit</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Be capable of standing, walking, running, bending, lifting, and carrying repeatedly for the duration of the game or game(s) on any given day, between 2 and 5 hours</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Have basic understanding of the game and rules of baseball, knowledge of situations of the game</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Have availability to work 21-42 home games between June and September upcoming season; games are at 7:00PM Tuesday through Saturday and 2PM Sunday. Some game times are subject to change</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Able to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to each game for which they are scheduled</span></li>
