Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. We have a seasonal (summer- time) opening for a full-time day maintenance tech.
Hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities:
- Execute a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, wall and trim repair, appliance maintenance, and general building maintenance.
- Respond to maintenance requests from tenants in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure all work is completed to high standards and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses.
- Communicate escalated maintenance issues to management.
Maintenance Technician Required Skills:
- Troubleshooting: Excellent problem-solving skills
- Plumbing: Experience in basic plumbing.
- Electrical: Adept experience in electrical systems (non-licensed tasks).
- Carpentry and DryWall: Proficient door hanging, flooring, trim, cabinets, drywall, painting.
- Appliance Repair: Experience in appliance replacements and repairs.
- General Maintenance: Strong skills in various maintenance tasks including apartment turnovers, cleaning, painting, and yard work.
- Safety: Awareness of operating in a safe environment.
- Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills.
Maintenance Technician Preferred Skills:
- Property Management Software: Familiarity with property management and job order software.
- HVAC: Knowledge in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Appliance Maintenance: Experience with household appliance maintenance and repair.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional property maintenance experience.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. A stipend is provided towards fuel and phone costs)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Physical agility to navigate stairs, ladders, and outdoor environments.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools and equipment.
