At Bingham Academy, our English classes are taught by qualified teachers and are designed to build knowledge and skills that will enable students to understand and analyze a range of writing genres as well as prepare for further studies at University and beyond. You will have the opportunity to make an impact in an environment where students and parents value your contribution and ministry. 


We are currently looking for English Teachers with the ability to teach in our Secondary School (grades 6-12).


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree English, English as an Additional Language or Linguistics
  • Teaching License, Qualification or Credential
  • Masters degree in English (desired, but negotiable)
  • Experience in teaching linguistic studies (desired, but negotiable) 


Key Skills:

  • Demonstrate understanding of recent educational trends and best practices, including relevant curriculum and learning and assessment theory
  • Experience designing personalized and differentiated learning experiences for students
  • Effective classroom management techniques
  • Commitment to positive communication with all stakeholders
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to contribute to a positive school environment for students, staff and the overall community
  • Passion for excellent education
  • Willingness to learn


Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses assigned by the secondary principal
  • Carry out all assigned duties with professionalism
  • Teach and serve in a broad range of responsibilities as requested by administration
  • Communicate timely and professionally with parents as needed, discussing student performance and writing annual reports
  • Maintain personal teaching certifications
  • Participate in ongoing professional development
