Securities Financing Specialist

<h3>About the Position</h3> <p>We are looking for a financing professional to support and develop Jane Street's EMEA financing capabilities across multiple asset classes. To thrive in this role, you’ll need prior experience developing financing solutions at a bank or buy-side firm and strong relationships with prime brokers and counterparties across the spectrum of equity, ETF and corporate credit financing products.</p> <p>This role is entrepreneurial—it offers the opportunity to shape and execute financing decisions and help develop the firm's long-term financing strategy. In doing so, you can expect to work with a broad range of internal teams to understand and manage the various constraints of a quantitative trading firm. Additional responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Managing and negotiating our financing transactions on a day-to-day basis across various products</li> <li>Maintaining and developing relationships with prime brokers and other external financing counterparties</li> <li>Optimising our financing footprint across counterparties, products and structures: identifying inefficiencies, reducing costs and improving terms across the book</li> <li>Helping to form our long-term financing strategy by improving and expanding our current activity</li> <li>Understanding our firmwide financing constraints and comparing financing opportunities using in-depth cost-benefit analysis</li> <li>Helping to build and improve the infrastructure that supports our financing initiatives</li> </ul> <h3>About You</h3> <ul> <li>Have 3-5 years of relevant financing experience at a buy-side firm or bank</li> <li>Have a strong understanding of EMEA financing and stock loan markets; having experience across multiple asset classes (e.g., equities, corporate bonds, ETFs) and financing structures (e.g., PB, swap, repo) is a plus</li> <li>Excited and able to cultivate and manage relationships with prime brokers and other external financing counterparties</li> <li>Have strong analytical skills and experience with performing technical data analysis to solve problems (e.g., through previous work experience, STEM coursework)</li> <li>Intellectually curious and motivated to learn about new financing trade types and strategies</li> <li>An effective communicator who works well in a team environment</li> <li>Having fluency in Python, SQL or other programming languages is a strong plus</li> <li>Fluent in English</li> </ul> <p><em>If you're a recruiting agency and want to partner with us, please reach out to agency-partnerships@janestreet.com.</em></p>
