About the role
This is not a static guarding role — every shift is different.
You’ll be out on the road in a company vehicle, responding to live alarms, supporting sites, and dealing with real-time incidents across York. If you prefer action over sitting still, this is one of the most varied and engaging roles in security.
With a strong hourly rate of £14.61 and plenty of opportunities to pick up extra shifts, this role offers both variety and earning potential.
As a Mobile Response Officer, you’ll be at the frontline of our operation — trusted to respond quickly, think clearly, and act decisively.
Key duties include:
Responding to alarm activations across multiple sites
Carrying out mobile patrols using a company vehicle
Supervising and supporting on-site Security Officers
Attending incidents and emergency situations as they arise
Conducting lock-ups, unlocks, and site inspections
Checking on vacant properties and high-risk locations
Acting as a visible and professional first response presence
No two shifts are the same — your workload will change daily based on incidents and alarms, keeping the role active and engaging.
