Beam is a values-driven organization committed to its people, cutting-edge science, and a vision of providing life-long cures to patients suffering from serious diseases.</p> <p></p></div><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p> <p>Beam is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security and Network Operations Analyst to join our growing IT Team. This is a junior level position designed for candidates with 2-6 years of hands-on experience who are eager to learn and grow under the guidance of senior team members. The successful candidate will perform security assessments of Beam’s third-party partners, respond to security questionnaires from treatment centers and other external entities, support enterprise network infrastructure, cloud-managed networking, next-generation firewalls/SASE platforms, and managed detection &amp; response services. This position requires a minimum of two days per week on-site presence in our Cambridge, MA locations with an expectation that additional on-site days may be required to support the team and to provide response to incidents.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform internal and external security assessments&nbsp;working with vendors, internal teams, and treatment centers&nbsp;to support&nbsp;treatment&nbsp;center onboarding and&nbsp;Beam’s commercialization&nbsp;readiness.</li> <li>Work with Beam’s procurement team to embed security reviews in the vendor onboarding process&nbsp;and establish a mechanism for periodic review.</li> <li>Assist in the regular review of&nbsp;internal&nbsp;security controls, ensuring compliance with established security standards such as NIST CSF 2.0&nbsp;</li> <li>Support the implementation and management of cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure&nbsp;and Amazon Web Services.</li> <li>Monitor network performance and security events, identifying and escalating issues to senior architects for resolution.</li> <li>Initial triage of events and issues related to email security services and products.</li> <li>Perform routine network maintenance tasks such as firmware updates, patch management,&nbsp;and&nbsp;hardware troubleshooting.</li> <li>Manage SAML certificate rotation in MS Azure&nbsp;for deployed applications.</li> <li>Manage 3^rd&nbsp;party digital certificates (Digicert, etc.).</li> <li>Participate in incident response activities, analyzing security alerts and assisting in the containment and remediation of threats.</li> <li>Maintain documentation for network configurations, security policies, and troubleshooting&nbsp;guides.</li> <li>Support Wi-Fi network deployments, including site surveys, configuration, and performance monitoring.</li> <li>Assist in the configuration, deployment, and monitoring of network devices and services, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with senior architects on projects involving network upgrades, new technology rollouts, and security enhancements.&nbsp;</li> <li>Help enforce security best practices across the organization, including vulnerability management and compliance with regulatory requirements.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science&nbsp;or Certifications&nbsp;in&nbsp;information technology or cyber security, with&nbsp;2-6&nbsp;years of work experience.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience performing&nbsp;information security&nbsp;risk assessments.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs).&nbsp;</li> <li>Understanding of authentication models&nbsp;and identity providers (Azure, OKTA).&nbsp;</li> <li>Understanding of fundamental information security principles and practices.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.&nbsp;</li> <li>Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of the Cell and Gene Therapy industry or Biotechnology is a plus.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Candidates are expected to come onsite 1-3 days per week with an expectation that additional on-site days may be required to support the team and to provide response to incidents.</strong></li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>The salary range below reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting.
