About the role
Job Summary: The security and maintenance officer is responsible for maintaining a safe,
secure and clean environment at the facility.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Protecting and serving the Company’s patients, visitors, volunteers and staff
- Maintaining a clean facility by cleaning bathrooms, emptying garbage, mopping floors, wiping down desks, refreshing office and general spaces
- Monitoring and operating access control systems, security camera systems, intercoms, two-way radios, telephones and alarm systems
- Interacting with the public, law enforcement, and staff on issues involving security or safety
- Enforcing a tobacco-free organization
- Making detailed observations and notes for conducting security investigations and interviews
- Writing reports regarding incidents and events that could cause injury or loss of assets
- Any other related duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in similar or comparable position
- Knowledge of security practices used in safeguarding persons and property
- Excellent motor skills and the ability to stand for long periods of time
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer-service oriented
