Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging drama lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs
  • Create a safe and supportive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves
  • Use drama techniques to help students build confidence, enhance communication skills, and foster teamwork
  • Collaborate with the SEN team to create and implement individualized learning plans for students
  • Organize performances and drama workshops to showcase students’ talents and progress
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Drama or Performing Arts, particularly to students with special educational needs
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for fostering creativity and self-expression
  • A clear DBS check
  • Legal right to work in the UK
