About the role
<p>This position provides guests with quality customer service by demonstrating excellent knowledge of all menu items. Serve food and beverages to guests in a punctual, courteous, efficient and accurate manner. You'll act as an advocate for the restaurant, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return. </p>
<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Greet and welcome our guests and promptly attend to tables.</li>
<li>Receive and take guest orders, process in POS system in a timely and accurate manner.</li>
<li>Prepare and serve meal accompaniments to guests.</li>
<li>Learn and maintain product knowledge of the food, wine, and beverage menu(s), as well as general restaurant knowledge.</li>
<li>Ensure that guests have a good time at the restaurant and look immediately into any complaints.</li>
<li>Perform side work.</li>
<li>Open bottled wine for guests (wine service).</li>
<li>Bus and set tables as needed.</li>
<li>Perform setup and breakdown of various stations (i.e. deli, dessert, coffee, espresso).</li>
<li>Assist with to-go orders as needed.</li>
<li>Assist with seating guests and help with answering phones as business demands.</li>
<li>Must be able to calculate the correct bill amount and use proper credit card and money handling skills.</li>
<li>Attend all company and restaurant required trainings and meetings.</li>
<li>Communicate with support staff and management.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>1-2 years of experience in a similar or supportive role at an upscale/ full service-dining venue is preferred.</li>
<li>Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certification(s) (if applicable).</li>
<li>Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.</li>
<li>Ability to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests.</li>
<li>Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant POS system is required.</li>
<li>Must be able to calculate the correct bill amount and use proper credit card and money handling skills.</li>
<li>Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant point of sale system is required.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and presentation skills.</li>
<li>Passion for creating and personalizing guest experiences. Highly motivated and flexible with the ability to take initiative.</li>
<li>This position requires a flexible schedule, must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays</li>

<p>Salary: US $8 to 10 per hour + a share in the gratuity pool</p>
