Server Engineer (Lead Level) - Osaka/Tokyo

General server-side tasks for PC/console game development

Specifically:

• Design, implementation, and maintenance of server-side programs for game development (TypeScript, RDB, NoSQL, etc.)
• Design, construction, and maintenance of secure network infrastructure in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Design, construction, and maintenance of server infrastructure for game development (web, game, database, file, repository, build machines, etc.)
• Design, construction, maintenance, and improvement proposals for internal development environments

Depending on suitability, management tasks may also be included:

• General management duties such as task management and policy planning for server engineers

Requirements

Must-have:

• 8+ years of knowledge and hands-on experience in Linux and networking, including setup and maintenance
• 5+ years of experience in server-side programming for game development and operations
• 2+ years of experience building and maintaining servers in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience in master-up (final submission) for PC/console/smartphone game projects
• Experience in operation and maintenance of PC/console/smartphone game projects
• Leadership experience within a game project, managing a team of 3 or more members

Nice-to-have:

• 3+ years of experience in scheduling and task management within your work area
• Experience in project management
• Knowledge of game AI (including machine learning)

Working Hours

9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (7.5 hours of actual work per day)

Note: The above is an estimated working time, as this position is subject to a specialized discretionary labor system.

Holidays & Leave

• Full five-day workweek (Saturday and Sunday off)
