As a member of leading industry associations, SMA Benelux is committed to supporting consumers with clear and accessible information about solar energy. The Benelux office also works closely with the company’s headquarters in Germany to optimize SMA inverters specifically for the Benelux market.

Centrally Located in Belgium

The very first SMA inverter was already sold in the Netherlands during the 1990s. Since 2009, SMA Benelux has been based in Mechelen, Belgium, from where its service department supports customers across the entire Benelux region.

Your Challenge

As a Service Back Office Administrator, you are the administrative backbone of our Service Department. You ensure that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly and efficiently — from processing customer requests to scheduling interventions and supporting technicians.

You combine administrative accuracy with a customer-focused mindset and strong organizational skills.

What Will You Do?

Customers & Orders

  • Process customer orders and prepare quotations
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email and electronic channels
  • Follow up and update quotations
  • Handle questions related to deliveries, returns, and complaints

Administration & Support

  • Manage and optimize customer data
  • Create and follow up on service tickets
  • Support customer account management (SMA ID)
  • Coordinate service emails and back-office activities
  • Provide logistical support (stock management, spare parts, tracking)
  • Assist with translations (Dutch/French/English) and automation processes

Profile

What do you bring?

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative role

Skills

  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with SAP and/or Salesforce is a plus

Languages

  • Dutch
  • English
  • French
  • German is a plus
