Services Engineer

As part of the Services Team, the role of a Services Engineer is to work with the wider project team to efficiently coordinate the building services and associated works of building projects, whilst assisting the project teams in understanding and solving services coordination issues.

KEY TASKS

Services Coordinator

• Coordinating documents calling, evaluating and issuing submissions and negotiating and letting of subcontractors

• Managing day to day insurance claim matters.

• Ensuring pre-completion activities & certificates are carried out to meet Built’s contractual obligations.

• Support the Services Managing in the design and operations of all processes and plant installations including all mechanical, fire, lift services

• Reviewing and preparing programme in relation to documents, procurement, installation, commissioning, and defects rectification Trades Administration and Management

Evaluation of Contract Service Variations

• Reviewing and evaluating contract service variations with project team

• Reviewing head subcontractors progress claims and variations with project team

• Overseeing the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals, and workshops with project team activities & certificates are carried out to meet Built’s contractual obligations

• Ensuring our head contract obligations in regard to building services are achieved, with emphasis on OH&S, energy efficiency (ABGR) and green credentialsProgramming

Subcontractor Performance Assesment

• Reviewing services documentation in relation to subcontractors

• Monitoring and managing subcontractor performance

• Liaising with authorities as required

• Developing building services systems and procedures in conjunction with the management team

• Liaising with clients and subcontractors services consultants as required

Safety

• Assisting in OHS management with services and as sociated subcontractor

• Regulatory Compliance, ensure all systems comply with relevant building codes, standars, and regulations

• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of work

KEY SKILLS

• Competent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Project

• Clear communication and organisational skills

• Sound knowledge of engineering science and technology
