Site Superintendent - Hudson Valley

<p></p> <p>The<strong> Site Superintendent </strong>will be responsible for overseeing daily construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. This role works closely with project managers, subcontractors, and field personnel to coordinate workflow, manage on-site operations, and resolve any issues that arise during construction.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supervise all field activities to ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, and safety standards.<br>• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and on-site labor.<br>• Monitor construction progress and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.<br>• Enforce compliance with company policies, OSHA safety standards, and site-specific requirements.<br>• Conduct daily jobsite walks, safety meetings, and quality control inspections.<br>• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to guide field execution.<br>• Communicate regularly with project managers to provide updates on progress, challenges, and resource needs.<br>• Maintain accurate project records, including site logs, inspection reports, and daily progress updates.<br>• Assist with site logistics, deliveries, equipment coordination, and inventory management.<br>• Identify potential delays or conflicts early and implement corrective actions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <p><strong>Education &amp; Experience:</strong><br>• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.<br>• 5+ years of experience in field supervision on commercial projects, ideally healthcare. &nbsp;<br>• Proven track record managing job sites from start to finish.</p> <p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong><br>• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.<br>• Familiarity with construction scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and reporting platforms (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).<br>• Working knowledge of building codes, construction safety regulations, and inspection requirements.</p> <p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong><br>• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.<br>• Effective communicator with subcontractors, crews, and office staff.<br>• Ability to work under pressure and resolve conflicts on-site.<br>• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.</p> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary based on experience<br>• Health, dental, and vision insurance<br>• 401(k) with company match<br>• Paid time off and holidays<br>• Vehicle allowance<br>• Professional development and safety training programs</li> </ul> <p><strong>Salary</strong>: $85k - $125k, based on experience&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Location</strong>: We are looking for the site superintendent to staff jobsites within the Hudson Valley.&nbsp;</p> <p>We are committed to equal opportunity in our hiring and promotion practices.
