About the role
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain standardized project status reports (schedule, risks, issues, financials)
- Track and communicate project performance against key KPIs
- Support risk, issue, and dependency management processes
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Assist in building and enhancing dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel
- Translate project data into clear, actionable visual insights
- Ensure data integrity through validation and reconciliation processes
- Continuously improve dashboard usability and executive-level reporting
- Support business case development, including ROI and benefits tracking
- Assist with project intake, prioritization, and portfolio analysis
- Contribute to executive presentations and strategic reporting
- Conduct research and benchmarking to inform decision-making
WHAT YOU NEED
- Active-duty U.S. service member within 180 days of separation
- Approved or eligible for DoD SkillBridge application
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree (in progress or completed) in Business, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, or related field.
- Equivalent military education or PME considered
- Experience supporting operations, planning, reporting, or execution in a military or command-driven environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft excel, Power Point, and visualization tools (e.g. Smartsheet, Power Bi, Tableau, etc.)
- Tracks tasks, timelines, risks, dependencies, and readiness metrics
- Develops and delivers assigned objectives within requested timeframes
- Operates effectively within structured, deadline‑driven processes
- Raises issues and concerns promptly to mitigate execution risk
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Performs data analysis and supports dashboard‑style reporting
- Ensures accuracy through strong attention to detail
- Documents work clearly and supports leadership briefings and status reports
- Communicates clearly and concisely, tailoring messaging to different audiences
- Presents findings and recommendations in a structured, executive‑ready format
- Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
- Engages stakeholders positively and professionally across levels
- Works cooperatively with executives and senior managers across departments
- Operates effectively in cross‑functional or matrixed team environments
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and collaborative behaviors
- Supports shared outcomes while balancing competing priorities
- Demonstrates mission focus, precision, and ownership of deliverables
