About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Prevention of accidents both in the water and on the slide.
- Provide emergency assistance in the event of an accident.
- Maintain a sense of control over the slide usage.
- Enforce pool rules and justly establish disciplinary actions.
- Attend all staff meetings and in-service training, as required.
- Maintain a neat and well groomed personal appearance
- Wear staff uniform and when on duty and appropriate.
- Customer service. Be friendly and able to answer general facility questions.
- Work your scheduled times or find your own qualified substitute.
- Fill out accident reports for any accident no matter how minor.
- Other duties and/or responsibilities, as directed by management
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Perform all physical aspects of the position, including being mobile, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Ability to recognize and react calmly and effectively in hazardous/dangerous situations.
- May be exposed to verbal outbursts, physical actions or bodily fluids as part of the environment.
- Work environment is outdoors in the sun for the duration of the shift (with appropriate breaks), applicants must be prepared to be outside for 45 minute periods.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Observe all areas of the pool with clear vision.
- Communicate verbally, including projecting voice across distance in normal and loud situations.
- Ability to concentrate for long periods of time
