About the role
<h2>Primary Work Location</h2>
<p>Bourne, MA </p>
<p>2nd shift M-Th 3pm - 12am Fri 12pm - 6pm</p>
<h2>Overview</h2>
<p>Build PCB and sub-assemblies by precisely following instructions given in the form of Assembly Plans, Engineering Drawings, sketches, written notes, samples, and verbal communication using hand tools and/or machines to assemble parts and finished instruments.</p>
<h2>Professional Qualifications</h2>
<h3>Education</h3>
<p>High School or equivalent</p>
<h3>Experience</h3>
<ul>
<li>Some evidence that demonstrates an aptitude to perform precise assembly work from written instructions and verbal direction.</li>
<li>Experience in operating Mycronic SMT Machines</li>
<li>Soldering experience is desired, but not required.</li>
</ul>
<h3>General</h3>
<ul>
<li>Ability to meet the Physical Requirements of the position.</li>
<li>Excellent physical dexterity and motor skills to use Assembly tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment.</li>
<li>Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to distinguish colors.</li>
<li>Good reading (English) comprehension skills.</li>
<li>Good oral communication and listening skills to communicate effectively with Supervisor and coworkers.</li>
<li>Adequate comprehension to understand and perform basic arithmetic.</li>
<li>Must be dependable, cooperative, motivated, and have good attendance.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate the ability to perform Assembly work within Standard Assembly Times.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Position Responsibilities</h2>
<h3>Specific</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: left;">Proficiency in setup and operation of SMT Machines production equipment while achieving goals for quality, efficiency, and productivity.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Monitor the operation of equipment to ensure that assemblies are built to print and in compliance with applicable workmanship standards.</li>
<li>Inspect printed solder paste and component alignment for accuracy.</li>
<li>Understand and identify defects.</li>
<li>Load feeders for equipment as needed.</li>
<li>Read, interpret, follow and meet the expectations of the SMT Machine Schedule</li>
</ul>
<h3>General</h3>
<ul>
<li>Documents actions by completing appropriate Manufacturing and Quality documentation.</li>
<li>Maintains supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level and expiry. Anticipate needed supplies. Alert manufacturing Supervisor to place orders for supply replenishment.</li>
<li>Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work environment by complying with all pertinent rules, procedures, regulations, and policies.</li>
<li>Maintains Assembly equipment in a good state of operation by following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and alerting the Manufacturing Supervisor and/or Equipment Monitor of problem equipment.</li>
<li>Assists in troubleshooting and resolving Quality issues related to Assembly Plans, parts and materials, and subassemblies and instruments.</li>
<li>Must represent LI-COR in a positive, professional manner.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate a high level of Assembly Competency, Efficiency to Standard Times, and overall Quality workmanship.</li>
