About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and proofread all email and social media content, ensuring flawless grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Review and refine copy for clarity, tone, and consistency with Google’s voice and brand guidelines.
- Conduct proofing across all email assets before deployment, validating that content, CTAs, and links align with intended messaging.
- Partner with designers and developers to ensure final rendered copy maintains design integrity and accessibility.
- Platform nuance: Adapt master messaging to fit different channel behaviors
- Develop audience-specific variations (e.g., practitioner, partner, retailer) and personalization copy to ensure relevance and engagement.
- Engagement: Write social first copy /create assets which specifically designed to drive comments, shares, and community interaction, moving beyond broadcast messaging.
- Lead copy input for A/B testing frameworks, developing multiple variants of:
- Headlines (HL)
- Sub-lines (SL)
- Call-to-Action (CTA)
- Snippet copy and personalization hooks
- Partner with Analytics and Strategy to interpret test outcomes and recommend ongoing improvements.
- Track performance insights to refine messaging strategies across campaigns.
- Work closely with the Content SAM, Email SAM, Designers, and Developers to maintain seamless copy integration throughout the production process.
- Align with the Data & Audience team to ensure messaging corresponds accurately to audience segments.
- Participate in weekly content review and campaign planning meetings, ensuring forward visibility of copy and assets needs.
- Maintain organized content files, master copy decks, and change-tracking documentation for all campaigns.
- Provide sound creative feedback on visual assets (videos, statics, GIFs) to ensure they align with the accompanying copy and native platform best practices.
- Act as the "social gatekeeper," ensuring that product messaging isn't just accurate, but also culturally relevant, visually engaging, and optimized for formats like TikToks, Reels, and LinkedIn carousels.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 4+ years’ experience in copywriting, content editing, or brand communications, ideally within social media or email marketing.
- Dutch Native preferred, but with Native or near-native English fluency, with exceptional writing precision and editing standards.
- Deep understanding of tone-of-voice and brand writing, ideally within large-scale, tech or B2B and B2C environments.
- Proven experience developing short-form, high-impact copy and assets and content formats optimized for email and social media.
- Experience writing for personalization and segmentation (dynamic audience variations).
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and data-driven copy refinement.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline in managing multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Experience working in collaborative workflows across design, development, and client service teams/agencies.
- Highly detail-oriented with a perfectionist streak for grammar and tone.
- Collaborative and approachable, with strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proactive in identifying inconsistencies or opportunities for improvement.
- Calm under pressure and adept at balancing multiple workstreams.
- Curious and adaptive — always learning from performance data and testing outcomes.
